Koisuru Asteroid Episode 1

As usual, the screenshots that show do not match the time they appear, this is so that people who come in and read cannot be spoiled by what goes on in the story.

Oh man, the first Kirara anime of the year and it's Koisuru asteroid

This is the first time I've heard of this Kirara title and oh man was I in for a treat.

Kirara has always been godlike with their yuri undertone but this one is like yuri undertones on steroids.

The episode starts off with a flashback from the the main character about her promise with a newly made friend under the starry sky

This is our first introduction to the main girl Mira and in the next image, her new friend Ao

I've gotta say i really like the look for these characters, this is an extremely biased opinion because I have a really big weak spot for boying characters with short hair like these two above.

Without spoiling anything they made a promise that will shape the entire story forward.

The story then cuts to current day, with mira in highschool and looking to join the astronomy club.

We are introduced to our first supporting character which is her childhood friend suzu.

They both go and look at the earth science which was formed from the merge between the geology club and the atronomy club.

The story here spares no time in setting up the caracters and their personalities.

We meet the current day Ao who turns out to be a reverse trap. They cleared up this character gimmick extremely fast which is a godsend.

We also get to see a first glimpse of what kind of character suzu is in the picture below. Big goddamn mood suzu.

The next part here is the first time we see the interaction between the characters in the club

The character chemistry is incredibly balanced and they really went straight to the point in nailing down the characteristics of these characters.

Ino being the mediator of the group creating an incredibly chill atmosphere by supporting her senpai

Her own senpai, the vice prez, trying her best to represent the geology side, yet playing with the astrology side and genuinely trying to work together for the sake of the earth science club.

The outlandish prez who seems to be in cloud nine but is actually responsible and knows how to get the attentions of her member..

There were able to introduce a total of six character very well and gave us ample time to watch and understand them and most importantly allow us to nurture our imagination of how these characters will go about their shenanigans. That is where it holds its biggest potential.

"What will these girls of fun chemistry do together in the next episode? I want to see them and their mishaps"

I hope they carry this atmosphere for the entire season. I love it.

To think that the first kirara of the year would be this strong is truly a sneak peak of what kind of year we might be getting for anime.
