PLEASE WATCH THE EPISODE BEFORE YOU READ ANY OF WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN HERE
Jojo part 5, oh boy, I don't even know where to start with this gem of a show I've been waiting so long for.
I will admit it right here and now that, I am not a manga reader of the JJBA series, My principle is that I will read the manga only when there really is no hope for a next season. The reason I have yet to start reading is because there was without a shadow of doubt that we're going to get part 5 and here we are.
On a sidenote here, personally when I pick up a manga of a running anime, there are usually two outcomes. Either I get hyped by what's going to get animated in the anime, or I stop watching the anime because I have seen what is coming. I don't want to ruin my watching experience so I try to stay away from manga as much as possible until the anime has ended its run.
Back to the first episode of vento aureo, one thing I find somewhat annoying is how the name of the stands are changed from what it was in the anime originally.

Gold experience -> Golden wind
This in my opinion really deducts from the characteristics of the stands. Since most if not all of them are references to music albums. It's too bad that this had to be changed due to copyrights and what not. This is a recurring thing in every single one of the JJBA anime adaptations.
I CAN HEAR YOU SAY GOLD EXPERIENCES GODDAMNIT
I have to say, the animation in this part is truly magnificent.
They took the many strong points that was in part 4 and included it into part 5.
If you were to compare the quality of the anime from part 1 to 5, you can see Studio David production gaining mastering over adapting the JJBA series.
The blend between the 2D and the 3D component of the show complements each other really well.
3D has always been seen as "iffy" by many in the anime fandom and understandbly so due to things like "berserk"..
In many of my reviews I will definitely be pointing out and praising where the 3D and the 2D blends together really well as that shows the studio's potential to make the medium even better.
In this episode the first actual battle sequence between Gio Gio and kotaro was really cool

Araki has truly mastered the art of "show" do not tell
We had seen glimpses of gold experience's powers before such as the money butterfly and the "confrontation" between gio and luca. It was all building up to this reveal of what Giorno's power is really like and how his powers would be used in an actual fight.
It was paced really well and executed really well.

At the very end we got to see one of the most long awaited and hyped scene in jojoke history. Damn was that satisfying to look at. It's near identical to the goddamn manga.
After that we got a second fight scene and goddamn was that entertaining to watch. The gruesome ability of an unknown stand and the start of a fight between two new characters, which will probably set the scale for how powerful the stands are going to be for this part of JJBA.
I half expected koichi to show up and help giorno (As I have said, I have not read the manga and dodged a lot of spoilers to get here) and I am glad he didn't.
Next week's fight is going to be a treat. I'm really looking forward to it.
Overall, for the first episode, well done,
Thank you for reading!
